Housewife slaughtered in Natore

Natore, Aug 17 (UNB) - A woman was hacked to death by some miscreants in Chak Amhati area of Sadar municipality on Thursday night.

The victim was identified as Ayesha Begum, 38, second wife of shopkeeper Abdul Karim of the village.

Police suspected that finding Ayesha alone in her house a gang of miscreants entered the house at night and slaughtered her. Later, they dumped the body in the nearby bush.

On returning home from his shop at about 11:30 pm Karim found Ayesha missing. After a hectic search he located her body in the nearby bush and informed the police.

Later, the law enforcers rushed to the spot and sent the body that bore stab injury marks to hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police suspected that Abu Bakar, son of Karim’s first wife, was involved in the killing as he went into hiding after the incident.

A case was filed.
