Tangail, Aug 17 (UNB) -Two people were killed when a bus hit a motorbike on Dhaka-Tangail road at Shohagpara of Mirzapur upazila on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as Masud Rana, 27, and Imon Hossain, 22, both of them worked in a private company and hailed from Keshabpur upazila of Naogaon district.

Police said the accident took place at about 7:30 am when a Tangail bound bus hit a motorbike from behind, leaving two motorbike riders injured.

The injured were rushed to Kumudini hospital where the doctors declared them dead.

They met the tragic incident while going to Naogaon for enjoying Eid with family.

The bus driver managed to flee. A case was filled in this connection.
