Dhaka, Aug 17 (UNB) - The branches of all commercial banks across the country will remain open from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm on Saturday, said an official of Bangladesh Bank.

The central bank on Sunday gave directives to all banks to keep their branches open so that they can fulfill the cash demand of various organisations, including industrial units, ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.

“The central bank has asked the banks to keep open their branches for the cash transaction of the mass,” BB general manager AFM Asaduzzaman told UNB over phone on Friday.

Office timing during Ramadan for all branches of the commercial banks is from 9:30 am to 2:30pm.
