Man held with Indian cumin in Sylhet

Sylhet, Aug 18 (UNB) - Plainclothes police arrested a man along with 186 kgs of Indian cumin from the city’s Surma Market area on Saturday evening.

The arrested was identified as Fakhrul Islam Kathai, 40, son of Abdul Razzak of Khagra village in Goainghat upazila of the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Detective Branch of Police conducted a drive at a human-hauler “Leguna” in the area at about 6 pm and arrested Kathai along with the smuggled cumin.
