Dhaka, Aug 19 (UNB) - A light tremor, measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale, jolted Assam region of India on Sunday afternoon.
The earthquake was felt at 3:24 pm (BST). The epicentre of the quake was 380 kilometres north-east of Bangladesh Meteorological Department Seismic Centre, said a Met Office bulletin.
There was no immediate report of damage or casualty in the earthquake.
