
Natore, Aug 21 (UNB) – At least five people were killed and 15 injured in a road accident at Gormati in Boraigram upazila on Natore-Pabna Highway on Tuesday.
Four of the deceased were identified as school students Milon, 15, Nantu, 16, Joynal, 14, and Sujon, 14, of Daulaltpur upazila in Kushtia district.
Quoting witnesses, police said the accident occurred when a Natore-bound BRTC bus smashed two ‘Nasimans’ (locally-made human haulers) at about 12 noon.
Three of the victims died on the spot while two others at a private clinic at Bonpara.
The other injured were admitted to various local clinics.
Police said 20 youths were on their way to Rajbari in Natore from Kushtia.
