News - Limon feels insecure, seeks police protection
Jhalakati, Aug 22 (UNB) – College student Limon Hossain, crippled by Rab last year, on Wednesday sought police protection for himself and his family members following Monday’s attack on them.

Officer-in-charge of Rajapur Police Station Tofazzal Hossain said they received an application from Limon seeking police protection. “The police always attach priority to Limon’s security,” he said.

He, however, said Limon’s application was not recorded as a diary because his mother earlier submitted another application in this regard, which was treated as a GD.

Earlier, on Monday, Limon and his mother came under attack by his rival at Idur Bari in Rajapur upazila while taking photographs of his relatives, including his mother Monwara Begum.

A local youth, Ibrahim, prevented Limon saying that he was taking the pictures obstructing the movement of pedestrians on the road. At one stage, Ibrahim assaulted Limon and his mother, leaving them injured.
