Khagrachhari, Aug 22 (UNB) – A storm lashed Lemua village in Manikchhari upazila blowing away 20 dwelling houses, razing a mosque and a madrasah early Wednesday.

However, no casualty was reported.

A local public representative and villagers said a strong storm swept the remote village, some 55 kilometers away from Khagrachhari town, destroying 20 thatched and semi-pucca houses, severely damaging a mosque and a madrasah at the dead of night.

Many trees were uprooted and crops destroyed during the storm, they added.
