Benapole (Jessore), Aug 23 (UNB) - A young man who went missing about one month ago was found dead at Khalshi village in Bagharpara upazila of Jessore district on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Imdadul Haque, 35, son of Rawshan Sheikh of Barashula village in Sadar upazila of Narail district.

Police said Imdadul, who was already married, developed an extramarital affair with Nurun Nahar, 28, a widow and daughter of Kalam Mollah of Khalshi village after the death of her husband, a resident of Barashula.

Imdadul and Nurun eloped on the 5th Ramadan and went to the capital. However, they returned to Khalshi the following day at the requests of the brothers of Nurun.

On the same day, Imdadul went missing after he came out of Nurun’s house.

Locals spotted the body of Imdadul in a field at Khalshi at about 8 pm on Wednesday and informed police.

Later, the law enforcers recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
