Jhalakati, Aug 23 (UNB) – Ibrahim Hawlader, the rival of  Limon Hossain, on Thursday lodged a complaint with a local court accusing 10 people, including Limon’s family members, of killing his brother-in-law Forkan Hawlader.

Limon’s father Tofazzel Hossain, mother Henoara Begum and brother Sumon were among the accused.   

Senior judicial magistrate Nusrat Jahan recorded the allegation as an ezahar and asked officer-in-charge of Rajapur thana to take necessary action.

Forkan Hawlader died on Monday (Aug 20).

In his case statement, Ibrahim alleged that Limon’s parent and brother aided by others beat up Forkan, resulting in his death.                 

Locals said Limon was taking the photographs of his relatives, including his mother, on a road at Saturia village in Rajapur upazila on Monday afternoon when Ibrahim prevented him saying that he (Limon) was obstructing the movement of people on the road.

Later, a clash between Ibrahim and Limon’s family members took place, leaving Henoara and Ibrahim injured.

As a rumour spread around that Ibrahim was being tortured, Forkan rushed towards the spot, but he fell sick and died near Saturia Forkania Madrasah.    

College student Limon Hossain, a resident of Saturia village of Rajapur upazila, was crippled in Rab shooting last year.
