Dhaka, Aug 30 (UNB) – Japanese investors on Thursday showed their interest to establish Bangladesh-Japan Friendship Zone in Bangladesh.
They also wanted to invest in tourism, airlines and medical sectors in Bangladesh.
An eight-member Japanese delegation, led by Kazuhisa Matsuoka, chairman of Japan International Cooperation Centre, told this when they called on Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Mohammad Faruk Khan at his office.
The delegation said that the zone might be set up on the banks of any big rivers such as Padma, Meghna and Jamuna.
The minister requested the delegation to give concrete proposal after visiting the spots.
