Dhaka, Sept 2 (UNB) - Islami Oikya Jote chairman Mufti Fazlul Haque Amini on Sunday claimed the only achievement that the Sheikh Hasina-led government has made so far is plundering.

“There’s no scam where the government has no involvement. The government was behind all the scams, including the Padma Bridge and Hallmark ones, that have taken place since it has assumed power,” Amini told an emergency meeting of the party at Lalbagh in the city.

He said the present government has branded Bangladesh as a corrupt nation. “To get rid of the stigma and relieve the countrymen of the misdeeds of the government, there’s no alternative to its ouster.”

Amini also criticised the Prime Minister and her cabinet members for their frequent visits to foreign countries wasting public money.
