Housewife killed 'by husband' in Chuadanga

Chuadanga, Sept 14 (UNB) - A housewife was allegedly killed by her husband at Rangiarpota village in Sadar upazila on Thursday night.

The victim was identified as Nurjahan, wife of Anisur of the village.

Local people said Anisur son of Babul Rahman was a devotee of Lalon Fakir and used to give medical care to people in a temporary abode near his house.

On the fateful night when Nurjahan went to the abode for calling Anisur, he got furious and at one stage of altercation he hit Nurjahan with a sharp weapon at about 11:30pm, leaving her dead on the spot.

Locals caught Anisur and handed him over to police. A case was filed.
