Natore, Sept 21 (UNB) - Two cattle traders were killed and eight others injured as a human-hauler, bhutbhuti, fell into a roadside ditch after colliding head-on with a bus in Singra upazila on Friday night.
The deceased were identified as Jaher Ali, 40, son of Abdur Rahim of Krishnapur village, and Abdul Quddus, 50, son of Jasim Uddin of Tebaria village in Sadar upazila.
Police said the human-hauler, carrying a group of traders along with their cattle, collided head-on with the Bogra-bound bus from Natore at Dashmile at about 8:30 pm and fell into the ditch, leaving 10 injured.
Five of the injured were first taken to Natore Sadar Hospital from where they were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).
Jaher and Quddus succumbed to their injuries at the RMCH.
